Men's softball is starting back up!  The season will be starting up around late March/early April.  It's a great way to fellowship with Parkway men, and to also just have a fun and appropriately competitive time with some men from other churches.  The ultimate purpose we have in doing this is...
To glorify God in our attitudes and actions
To promote principles of good sportsmanship and teamwork
To foster relationships with other Parkway teammates
To spur one another on to love and good deeds

2 Corinthians 9:8 - God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Philippians 2:14-15 – Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault.
Hebrews 10:24 – And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

CODE OF CONDUCT - please read carefully

1.) I will endeavor to play the game in such a way as to be God honoring in all aspects of participation and mindful of the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is present and watching everything I say and do in the game and on the bench.
2.) I will be gracious in victory and defeat.
3.) I will be fair always, no matter what the cost.
4.) I agree to not complain if I do not play the full game and whether sitting or playing, I will cheer on my fellow teammates and work for the good of the team.
5.) I agree to abide by the league-specific rules.
6.) I will endeavor to compliment good plays on the part of my teammates and opponent(s).  I will always conduct myself with honor and dignity.
7.) I agree that if my conduct is unbecoming of league standards, that I may be ejected from a game and/or suspended from league play for a period of time to be determined by league officials commensurate with the severity of my misconduct.
8.) I agree to submit to the authority of the umpires, managers and league officials and accept the decisions of the officials with grace.
9.) If you have a conflict with a player or coach, approach them face to face in a non-threatening manner as the Bible instructs us to do. Do not gripe and gossip to others.
